Nihola
Flex (wheelchair platform)
Trike
Nihola is the German trike specialist — every model is a three-wheel configuration, reflecting decades of focus on stability and load distribution. The Family Electric (€4,300) is the entry point with a rear-hub Promovec motor and 500 Wh battery, offering 100 kg load on a 32 kg platform. The Flex (€5,500) is the standout: identical motor but with a wheelchair-accessible platform instead of a traditional box, making it uniquely capable of transporting disabled or mobility-impaired passengers alongside cargo. Both share Nihola's distinctive low-step design and German engineering. Prices are competitive (cheaper than Babboe's electric models), and the rear-hub motor means minimal maintenance. The drawback: the hub motor lacks torque on steep climbs compared to mid-drive systems. Best suited for flat-to-rolling terrain and families prioritizing stability over speed.
